Abstract

We present a systematic study of emergent reasoning behaviors in multi-agent LLM architectures, demonstrating that agent-to-agent communication produces novel problem-solving strategies not present in single-agent baselines. Through controlled experiments with 12 different multi-agent configurations, we identify three distinct reasoning patterns that emerge only through inter-agent dialogue.
